Mike Skinner Bill Davis Racing Event Preview
Race/Date: New Hampshire 200 – September 15, 2007
Location: New Hampshire International Speedway – Loudon, N.H.

  • NOTES:

· This week’s race truck for New Hampshire International Speedway is Chassis No. 5-76. This is the same truck Skinner ran at a few races earlier in the year, including when he won at Martinsville in March.

* Pole Winner… Skinner has started from the pole position twice at Loudon. Once in 1996 and then again last year. Look for Skinner to try and capture the pole again as he looks to tie his (1995) season record of 10 poles in a single season.

* Skinner Round Up… Mike and Angie Skinner will partner with Toyota to host the second annual "Toyota Tundra Skinner Round Up" Sept. 27-28 in Daytona Beach, Fla. Festivities kick off 7 p.m., Thursday, Sept. 27 with the1.JPG (84391 bytes) "Hoe Down Bash" at Daytona International Speedway's Boardwalk Pavilion. Friday's events include the star-studded Golf and Poker Tournaments. Celebrities will hit the links at Spruce Creek Country Club, and then place their bets at the Celebrity Poker Table. The Skinners personally organize and run this annual event, which benefits Daytona Beach-area charities including the Council on Aging: Meals on Wheels, Second Chance Animal Rescue, Safe Kids Coalition and Greyhound Pets of America. Last year's Skinner Round Up raised more than $104,000, and the goal is $125,000 this year. To help the Skinners achieve their goal, they will accept any donations. Donations are tax deductible, and checks can be made out to "HMC Foundation."

* Points … Skinner is now in the second place position in the NCTS points after a right front tire blew on his No. 5 Tundra last week at Gateway forcing him to the garage for the majority of the race. He is only a mere four points out of the lead. * Stats… Skinner leads the series in a number of categories. He has the top marks in Driver Rating (120.3), Average Running Position (5.3), Fastest Laps Run (368), Laps in the Top 15 (2,631 of 2,866) and Laps Led (943 laps, 1042.70 miles).

* Welcome Donny Lia… The Bill Davis Racing stable will house a fourth truck this weekend at Loudon with Donny Lia as the driver. Lia is one of the Superstars in the NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour and has not only won six times this year, but has already won on the one mile Loudon track earlier this year in his Modified car.

* Listen and watch … The New Hampshire 200 is scheduled to start at 2:30 p.m. ET Saturday, September 15. It will broadcast on the Speed Channel (TV), MRN (radio) and Sirius Satellite Radio (Ch. 128).

Mike Skinner’s Racing Quotes:
Mike Skinner on racing at New Hampshire International Speedway:

“We had a good run in Loudon last year and hope to do the same again this year. It is a good opportunity for us to get back on track. Hopefully we will not have any cut tires or any type of catastrophe and just get things back to normal.”
