>Hey Skinnerites!
4/08- I am trying to be better at giving you updates this year and since I can’t ever remember my discussion board passwords it’s easier to throw a message Millie’s way to post! I know that is pathetic, I can’t even BLOG! We are home for 3 days anyways… Martinsville was a “blankety blank blank!” That’s all I
want to discuss about that – I think it was because Mike failed to
share a Martinsville hot dog with me this weekend – in our #5 pits we had a contest of who ate the most – I came in with 3 but Hot Rod
and Andrew got into the double digits – I am trying to contest that for my size 3 was A LOT!
Tundra is traveling on the bus with JB this week toward Texas as Mike will attempt to make the cup race in the #84 Red Bull Camry – He called us last night and said Tundra has not learned how to open the frig and bring him a Red Bull – we have some more training to do I guess!
Mike and I will fly into Texas on Thursday to attend the cup race – then JB and I will take the bus onto Phoenix while Mike travels to Long Beach for Press and Practice day for the Toyota Grand Prix Celebrity Race. We decided to just stay out west after Phoenix for a little vaca in Napa with our great friends and wine
makers Frank and Karen Altamura then onto Long Beach for another great charity racing event for Toyota!
While you are searching for Skinner stories don’t forget to check out Toyota’s racing websites as well as RedBullRacingUSA.com – they are getting some great shots of Mike in his new “mentoring” position!
So --- this weekend throw on your Justin Boots, kick back with a cold Red Bull, go look at the new Tundra’s and while you are outside throw on your Maui Jim Sunglasses!!!
Go Skinner #5 in Kansas! We need to get back in Winner’s Circle!
Thanks,
Ang ;)
> Hey Skinnerites!
03/08 -
Mike and I just wanted to post a quick hello and sorry for not posting lately – As you can imagine we have been slammed with our Tundra Truck #5 Team and Mike’s new adventure to consult for Red Bull Racing Team #84 and AJ Allmendinger. We have been on the road since
Atlanta. Made a pit stop in NC to visit the BDR shops and Red Bull shops and arrange some testing dates for both.
Currently we are in Martinsville for the NASCAR CTS Truck Tests and will head out for Bristol tonight to hopefully get a chance to qualify the #85 on Friday.
Mike will attempt to run Martinsville and Texas in the Red Bull Camry – as well as run the Toyota Long Beach Grand Prix Celebrity Race in April! WHEW – on the road lots!
Thanks for all of your posts and Tundra the puppy is getting HUGE! He turned one year old on February 1st and is traveling well and making friends! I guess he made the Speed TV shot in Atlanta – so hope he looked good! Ha Ha!
Keep checking the web site for new promotions – We will get started with the Ask Mike Your 5 here soon! Should have some great prizes!!!
Thanks,
Ang ;)

Happy Mid Season Skinnerites!!!
07/30/07
Mike and I wanted to post a message on the home page to say SORRY for not posting lately! We have been so busy but for good reason. Bristol James Skinner was born on July 11 at 7:45am – and between doing all the media interviews for winning in Kentucky and holding that precious baby – it’s been hectic busy!
We first want to put out a big HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO HEIDI!!! Your present will be on the way next week as I left Daytona Beach and forgot to have Jackie mail it out to ya! You are a great Skinnerite and we appreciate you wonderful scrapbooks.
Which that leads to another Thank You to all of you for the GREAT Birthday Scrapbook – What a wonderful treasure for Mike and I to browse through and keep forever. I have joked with Heidi that I need to hire her to do our personal scrapbooks because hers are so perfect!
Mike is excited to be in Indy this week – he has one of his favorite trucks. This season so far has been very blessed and we hope to keep up the momentum for the team and all of you whom have stuck by Skinner for all these years!
We need to find a time to get together while in Vegas for our annual bash – it may have to be on race day someplace near the track after lunch because our coach driver JB is getting married on Friday – so we will be pretty crazy with all their guests and our friends whom fly out to the race every year. Plus Mike’s
brother and sister in law live there and we have committed to have dinner with them as well – aaaaaaaaagh! I told ya our year is crazy!
We have a few new exciting things going on at MSE for the 2008 season – new projects and adventures forMike and myself - as well as Dustin maybe getting to start testing in a CTS truck this year. So we will keep you all informed on upcoming projects when they are confirmed!
Thanks again for BEING THE BEST FANS - Keep rooting so hard – It’s working this year!

Dustin News!
2/13/07
I wanted to give you all a quick update on Skin’s racing thus far into Speed Weeks 2007!
We started off testing with the fastest laps on the track, but a fresh set of tires and new spring package sent Skin into the wall; making his racing efforts seem pretty weak before the races even started!
The Skinner Performance team rallied to fix the car and make the first ASA Type Crate Late Model event at New Smyrna Speedway the following night on Friday, February 9. Dustin qualified 9th, but drew the pole position when FASCAR inverted the field. The goal was to run the race with caution to make sure the wreck from
the practice session did not damage the race car beyond racing repair. Skin drove smart and finished in the 3rd position with hopes to run every night for the weeks championship.
The following night Skin started in the 8th position (no qualifying for the remainder of the races- cars start based on where they finish the prior race) – by lap 5 Skin easily drove toward the front and before the first caution of the night, held the 3rd spot. When the race re-started he took the lead on the first lap
and looked to win the race before the #38 car drove underneath his bumper and drove Skin head first into the backstretch wall. The race competitor stayed in the gas while wrecking Skin, therefore he was penalized by FASCAR officials, but our car was heavily damaged forcing the team to remove the hood and front panels before loading back into the
race hauler. Skin has attempted to repair his car and will race tonight (Tuesday February 13). How the car will handle is unknown, so I will fill you all in once we see the main event!
He will also be racing 3 more events over the week:
Wednesday 2/14 - Thursday 2/15 - Friday 2/16
*Races start each night at 7:30pm at New Smyrna Speedway
Dustin’s next race in the #5 Brighthouse Networks Super Late Model will be on April 21 at New Smyrna Speedway
Don’t forget about Team Skinner Fund Raiser – Halifax.org for details or to sign up!!!
So far our lap count is with Dustin’s 2 races – 25 laps the first night and 16 for the 2nd night – Mike’s first race will be the Gatorade Twins on Thursday, then the CTS event on Friday and hopefully the Daytona 500 on Sunday.
Thanks,
Ang ;)

Happy New Year Skinnerites !
Just a little update on what's going on with Skinner during these "off" months! Not a whole lot of time off actually -- Mike will start testing next week in Daytona in his #5 Toyota Tundra - then head right into the 2nd cup test in the Bill Davis Racing #23 Camry in preperation to make the Daytona 500. Mike is
very excited about his efforts as Tommy Baldwin will lead the attempt. Then Mike will head right to Homestead for another truck test. Jeff Hensley will remain as our crew chief and Mike Swaim will remain the spotter - so Mike is really excited because he, Swaim and Hensley have all three been talking every day to pump one another up for another
championship and many wins in 2007. They are all very focused, so that makes it rather exciting for me to hear them talk and gear up for the new season.
The 5 truck will also have a new design for this season - so stay tuned for that first photo -- and Millie is preparing to build a new web site design for MikeSkinner.com. We should launch sometime in February....and we can do this because Toyota Motorsports has agreed to sponsor our site once again so WE LOVE
TOYOTA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Dustin will race a super late model all around Florida this season in FASCAR - starting with Speedweeks in New Smyrna and my book should release in March sometime.
Opus is doing great - thanks for all your prayers for him - he is excited about the new season too!
and..............one last thing - GO BUCKEYES!!!!!
Fondly,
Ang ;)
